If you opt to have your goods delivered to a mini-storage on your long distance move, there are a few factors to keep in mind.
- Either yourself, or an authorized representative (assigned by you) must be present when your goods are delivered into your mini-storage.
- Cargo claim liability ceases once the goods are placed into storage, so it is important to note any damage on your checkoff sheet.
- Make sure the storage unit you choose is large enough to accommodate your items, especially if you plan on accessing your goods in the meantime. If you plan on doing so, please tell the driver so they can place the items accordingly.
- The driver cannot leave their moving pads behind, so if furniture needs to be stacked, or you need it to be covered to prevent dust, please make sure you have either your own covers, or purchase moving pads.
